In Baccarat, cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value. Aces are worth 1. Tens, Jacks, Queens and Kings are all worth 0. When a hand's total exceeds 9, only the last digit is used — so 15 counts as 5, and 20 counts as 0. The maximum possible hand value is always 9.
Before any cards are dealt you place your bet on one of three outcomes. Player means you think the Player hand will have a higher value. Banker means you think the Banker hand will win. Tie means both hands will have equal totals. You can also place optional side bets on certain tables. Minimum bet on PKR Rummy Baccarat is Rs 100.
The dealer deals two cards face-up to the Player position and two cards face-up to the Banker position. Both totals are calculated immediately. If either hand has a natural 8 or 9 — meaning the first two cards total 8 or 9 — the round ends right there with no further cards drawn. Naturals cannot be beaten by additional draws.
If neither hand has a natural, a third card may be drawn following fixed rules that you do not need to memorise — the dealer applies them automatically. The Player draws a third card if their total is 0–5. The Banker's draw depends on their total and whether the Player drew a third card. All of this happens without any decision from you.
Once all cards are dealt, the hand closest to 9 wins. A winning Player bet pays 1:1. A winning Banker bet pays 0.95:1 (a 5% commission is deducted, which is factored into the house edge). A winning Tie bet pays 8:1. Payouts are credited to your PKR Rummy balance within seconds.
The Banker hand wins slightly more often than the Player hand due to the third card drawing rules — approximately 45.9% of the time versus 44.6% for the Player (with about 9.5% Ties). After the 5% commission, the Banker bet still carries a house edge of only 1.06%. The Player bet's house edge is 1.24%. Both are excellent compared to most casino games, but the Banker bet is the mathematically superior choice for most sessions.
